Erin and Stan - Banff Springs Hotel

|
An April wedding in the Rockies. You never know what you're going to get weather wise this time of year. We ended up getting a a bit of winter and bit of spring but in the end it really didn't matter, it was just an amazing day.
The talented vendors who made it happen:
Location - Banff Springs Hotel
Event Planning and Decor - Amber Roy Events and Weddings
Florist - Amborella Floral Studio |
Erin and her mom just before going down the aisle. |
The guests were treated to a break dancing show. This was a first for me and it was RAD!!!! |

Farrah and Brian - Wedding Reception at the Fairmont Palliser

|
Farrah and Brian were married in Maui over at New Years, but they brought the reception back to Calgary. Fun, fun, fun!!!!
Please keep in mind that while I did take the photos a whole ton of credit has to be given to the artists and vendors who made it happen:
Location - Fairmont Palliser Hotel Calgary
Event Planner and Decor - Lynn Fletcher Weddings
Lighting - Stardust Event Group
Band - Groove Academy
Violinist - Sophie Serafino
|
During cocktails guest were treated to Sophie Serafino's music and champagne poured by an acrobat! |
This is what guest's saw when the entered the room. Living art! The line art projected on the floor was done by the mother of the bride. |
Brian and Farrah enjoying the show. |
Dinner was a selection of canapés. The favourite one from the head chef at each of the Fairmont properties around the world. Meat on a stick always wins. |

Ashley and Jason

|
Alright, I'm guilty, I admit it. There are a bunch of awesome weddings and other things I am going to share on the blog and they are a bit dated. But hey, who ever said a blog had to feature stuff that is no more that a week old? I'm actually looking forward to sharing quite a bit between now and the start of the wedding season, so hopefully there are a few of you out there still tuning in!
Ashely and Jason's wedding last winter was on what would best be described as a miserable day. So needless to say we didn't get outside much, but that's ok because there were lots of options inside the Banff Springs Hotel. Here are a few of my favourites. |
The bride's sister and niece. |
The guys trying to look really tough before the ceremony. Probably should have had something in the glasses other than water. |

Sheena and Chris - Happy New Year!

|
I couldn't think of a better way to end 2012 than with the way I started it. I've been looking forward to blogging this wedding for quite a while, so at long last here it is.
A few notes... The reception was at the Palliser Hotel in downtown Calgary and the Lynn Fletcher Weddings team was on hand to make sure the decor was amazing and that the day went smoothly. I think its safe to say that the party lived up to everyone's "New Years" expectations!
A big thanks for Sheena, Chris and their wedding party for braving the cold during their portraits. |
Sheena's sister helping with the dress. |
When I was kid church was a lot tougher. |
Chris's best man was his grandfather! |
After a bit of dancing I took Sheena and Chris out for a quick walk on Stephen Ave. |
