Kristin and Nick - Banff Wedding

|
I've met with a lot of couples over the years who badly want a small, intimate wedding, but very few actually seem to do it as well as Kristin and Nick did. It kind of felt like they all just drove in to Banff and decided to get married on a whim. I'm sure there was a lot more to it than that, but it seemed that way to me, which is to say they did a great job of living out the dream day they had planned. I am so grateful that in their search for a Banff Wedding Photographer they found me. A big part of the credit for pulling that off has to undoubtedly go to Marisa Miller with It's All in the Details event planning.
I'm starting off with one of Kristin and her parents just before she met up with Nick for their portrait session. |
Big, fast moving clouds created some dramatic lighting throughout the afternoon. |
This photo was taken 12 seconds before the one below. |
12 seconds later. Probably my favourite portrait of the day. |
Nick and his brothers (groomsmen). |
After the ceremony the whole wedding walked over to the Maple Leaf Grille for dinner. |
Food always seems to taste better when you are sitting next to firewood. |
Nick is a teacher, so I thought it was pretty funny that he was basically doing his homework (his speech) seconds before it was due. |
After dinner everyone sauntered down main street to the dance floor at the YMCA. |
Nick's brothers and their better halves. |
Reaction to Kristin and her dad dancing. |
